When a 2-2 draw with Everton kind of feels like a win, you know things aren’t great.

We’ve circled this drain quite a few times. Manchester United simply get more attention than every other club in England, which magnifies any potential crisis. Every time the team goes on a run of bad results, the sky starts falling. And every time they pick up some wins, everything is turning around for good. Cutting through the noise is always a challenge here. Nonetheless, United do not have an unlimited number of chances to fix things. Each disappointing season gradually eats into the club’s reputation and, ultimately, their ability to generate revenue.
