I am truly grateful that Brian Brobbey of Ajax is not on the list. He's on fire right now for my very mediocre club. He's also said he is not leaving in January.

Figuring out the league conversion would've complicated this a lot more, so I kept it to the big 5 leagues.

Yes, and the classic poster boy for lots of Dutch goals and mediocrity after was Afonso Alves (could have been before your time as a pundit). He thought he could repeat Romario and Ronaldo's efforts in the league and go on to fame an fortune with a bigger club. Went to Middlesborough and did very little there and afterwords.

Good piece (as always) that’s missing one name who would who fit the bill even if his stats may not have put him in under the lens this time… left-footer Jarrod Bowen!

I definitely thought about him, but he just missed the age cutoff (born December 96). I'm sure he'd still be good for the time being, but 27 already just feels a little too old to me.

BTW I hadn't seen that someone else had already asked about Bowen before I asked.

Be interested to see your thoughts on him anyway

Not sure I have anything massively interesting to say on him? Good kind of poor man's Salah, would be a valuable left footed option from the right, but at age 27 this is probably about as good as he'll ever get.

What about Jarrod Bowen?

Just misses the age cutoff, he's already 27.
