Maybe it helped that I was watching while at work, but I thought the 1st half was pretty good, and certainly worth watching. Ecuador came out playing at 150 mph with bodies flying everywhere, Valencia’s first goal, (and the subsequent calling back), and then the PK.
For a team that supposedly spent 12 years building up to today, Qatar sure made some bizarre mistakes.
I tuned in about 90 seconds before kickoff, so if they were addressing any of the worker/human rights issues surrounding this cup on FS1, I missed it.

Qatar were worse tha. I expected. I suspect all three group games will have a similar pattern: their opponents being comfortably ahead by HT and in their easy chairs thereafter. I imagine if they can get anywhere near the Dutch penalty area in the final game they're a stick on to get a soft penalty.
