It is kinda telling for the state of the game in 2023 that a world class player entering his prime money earning years really doesn't have any good options because there are simply so few serious contenders and each of them has their own structural plans where he would only be a square piece.

If Chelsea hadn't imploded I think Kane would have fit perfectly there. Or if Newcastle didn't score with Isak he would be strong fit as well. Or if Haaland didn't come through City would still be interested. Basically, the only true contender in the PL who he was never an option for was Arsenal, the others fell by the wayside due to other issues coming to light. Honestly though if Chelsea could somehow find the money I guarantee you Boehly would go for it.

Have there been any international rumors? Bayern could be a fit but surely won't pay. PSG makes sense if he were to go that route; he would fit fine with Mbappe I think. Don't see anyone else being interested though. I suspect he goes to Man U. in the end. While I agree with Grace they aren't close enough for a title they also don't really have a young core to build on. Eriksen and Casemiro are 31. Bruno F. will be 29 in September. Fred and Varane are 30. Lindelof will be 29 in the Summer. Shaw 28. Their spine minus Martinez is pretty damn old so I think ETH pushes to maximize their success now while trying to manage the future.
