Wonderful article, really interesting. I've enjoyed watching Italy in the past and I'm looking forward to seeing them in the Euros. They've got possible the best group to be drawn into, particularly if France's off-field problems come to the fore.

This was so good. Thank you for this breakdown.

English language content about this team has been limited, and Serie A Femminile access in the States is... lagging.

Italy are an exciting squad. Their surprise run at the '19 WC was eye opening for people. I'm stoked about seeing them play in this tournament. I think they will surprise some folks.

Also, the blue of that kit... just fantastic.

This is great! Where does one get more team previews like this?

The Analyst have been writing some good stuff, including from Yash. https://theanalyst.com/eu/sport/football/womens-euro-2022/ And if you're a subscriber, The Athletic have put writers I like on the Euros coverage.

Thank you Grace 🙏

I’m always keen to run my eyes over these type of pieces before a tournament for as many teams as possible to get a proper feel for it.

Personally I like some narratives, some strings, a tactical insight, a story, someone to keep an eye on from a place of genuine understanding.

Rather than a puff piece and watching this young player for generic descriptor reason.

Watching football when your totally unfamiliar can be a joy at times but at this level it does a disservice to both the players and your own eyes.

For context I’m in Australia and male, this is the first female Euros that has been legally broadcasted in our country I believe.

I’m very excited to get in the thick of some new high level football.
